Aquaman beats Spiderman

I love the networks that give us eye candy for summer. I particularly love HBO for making ‘Entourage‘ - or should I think love of my life Mark Wahlberg for the show? Either way, the boys of are back to entertain me.

The cast includes Jeremy Piven who I have always had some weird thing for - can’t explain - I may even find him hotter than Adrian Grenier.

These boys spend money the way I would if I moved to Hollywood and got a hot career in show biz.

“Do not disturb”

This whole “remembering” I want to get back into the dating world thing is tough.

Things I learned this weekend:

When a group of guys (that you don’t know) at a bar are in a heated discussion about the World Cup and they turn to you to ask what you think, “I really don’t care” is not the correct answer.

Nice touch

There is a construction crew at Hastings and Renfrew this week taking up one lane. No, I am not ranting. This construction crew has a special feature - a lovely flag person who actually makes eye contact and says thanks (with a wave) when you slow down.

Now, I know I have to slow down or face fines, yada, yada, but this woman really makes me want to do it - just for her. Such a nice way to get through a summer of construction in the city.

First hike of the summer

We were very good kids this past Sunday as we ventured out for our first hike of the summer. We took our pasty white legs to Lynn Headwaters Regional Park on the North Shore for about a 3 hour hike and didn’t even turn back with the thunderstorm hit.

We have ambitious plans for hikes this summer - hike ’til our butts burn off!

Silver lining

This morning I realized my intense rage at the construction work - which has been going on in Blood Alley for over a year blocking us from getting in and out of our parkade in order to do simple things like go to work - has resulted in me missing a very important aspect of said construction work.

Namely, while is annoying as hell every time they start working on a new building, what it also means is that each new site they start work on brings a whole pack of construction workers - many of them very good looking - who are going to spend a long, hot summer in my alley.

I’m not sure how I let my anger make me miss this fact!
