NYC Day 1

Such a short post. On day one we flew to New York from Vancouver through the world’s suckiest airport in Ottawa where we were forced to eat at Nate’s since you now have to buy all your own food on Air Canada and your selections are limited to sandwiches and snacks. Cheap asses. The movie was “Rumour Has It” with Jennifer Aniston where she sleeps with a guy she previously thought could be her biodad. Creepy.

Arriving in New York late that night, we had a lovely conversation about how bad NY drivers are with our cab driver as he risked our lives cutting people off and crossing three lanes at once. Check in at the New York Helmsley was quick and easy. The room was pretty good as well.

We unpacked and went to the famous Palm restaurant for a 12 oz steak (each) and some nummy sides of creamed spinach and deep fried asparagus. The waiters were very attentive. Sleepy from our day of travelling, we walked around the hotel area and then headed to bed tummies overflowing with expensive steaks.
