Karen? Me?

A while back, I stopped into MEC while driving back from the ferry, having been in Victoria for a couple of days for work. I had also been up late the night before and wasn’t feeling very fresh and perky. The very gay (gay-seeming, he may not have been, I am not judging - just saying) cashier said “Karen!” and I thought he must be talking to another cashier as he had my card and could see that was not my name.

But he was looking at me, saying very enthusiastically that I looked like supreme ruler of the fag hags, Karen from Will and Grace. He was very excited about it, and I took it as a complement. Perhaps it was just the wine oozing out of my pores that day, but on a normal day, I don’t see the resemblance. Anyone?

Friday, and not a moment too soon.

This has been quite the tumultuous week and one in which several names have been added to my “list.” Katie made me this cute little e-card so I can notify those people of their new status.

Just in case I need to send a follow-up email, I searched for e-cards to help me express myself.

Hipster Ecards had a few fun ones, but nothing quite as devilish as I feel. If you know of any great sites, please let me know!

First snow

First times are so great. This morning was the first time Lola woke me up with the “kitty emergency” squawk. You have to go check out what is distressing them when they are sitting on the end of the bed yelling, so I followed her to the living room where she jumped up on the sill and pressed her nose to the window to watch the snow, meowing away. Perhaps she thought the sky was falling. It was pretty cute when she started batting at it through the glass.
